Description: Aloha Life-Long Learners! My name is Kristie Lane and I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and what better way to do just that, than to partner up with their parents to give them the one-on-one mentoring support they need as they navigate through this crazy world of K-12 education and beyond.

I have over 17 years of experience as a school counselor combined in elementary, middle, and at the high school levels. I specialize in providing mentoring support for students in all school counseling/academic advising topics (such as Test Taking/Study Skills, Organizational/Motivation/Goal-Setting Skills, Career/College Planning/Assessments, etc.).

Fun fact about me: I just learned how to surf at the ripe young age of almost 40…and am now working to create a non-profit organization that will provide free surf lessons/camps for at-risk youth, those suffering with PTSD/Complex PTSD, addictions, depression/anxiety, etc.

In regards to my teaching/instruction style, I am very student-focused, because I truly believe that every student (person) is individual and learn in their own unique ways and paying just that little extra attention to them; to connect with them and listen to how best they learn and what motivates them, is key to their overall future success. I would love to be the mentor/school counselor that every student truly needs, not one that has a waiting list or line out their door at the public brick-and-mortar school.
