Lisa’s teaching approach is to first get to know who her students are as well as what they need, how they learn, and their experiences, successes and failures in science. Only then she can develop a plan and materials that will be appropriate for them that will result in success. She cannot and will not do the work for the student, but will enable them to be successful in learning given they put the time and effort to implement my suggestions.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology Pre-med from Baylor and a Masters degree in Education from Tarleton State University. She has been in education for 18 years, teaching nearly every offered science course from 6th to 12th grade. She is also an experienced mathematics & science facilitator, science specialist and administrator. Teaching science and lighting the fire of scientific curiosity is my passion. She has worked with students of all levels, abilities, and backgrounds.
