The most effective way to retain information is through reviewing your own resources and asking higher level questions. This method has been proven to increase retention rate to up 90%. She believes that guidance and conceptual understand is far more impactful than conventional methodology.
Maggie is a current college student and former AVID tutor for District 300. AVID is a nationally recognized program that focuses on encouraging students to step out of their comfort zone and challenge them academically. The program encourages students to take higher level classes, ensuring success in note taking, study groups, and testing prep. For the four years she tutored, she helped students problem solve in mathematics, science, English, and social studies courses.
