For the first 7 years of her career, Cary was a process control engineer in the manufacturing industry. She then turned to teaching in the homeschool community where she has been teaching her own and other students mathematics, science, economics, and computer science. Her students have achieved high scores on the ACT and SAT and have thrived in colleges such as UC Berkeley, Cal Poly, and Diablo Valley College. She has a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada. In her 20 years as an educator, she has experienced a variety of learning styles and have discovered that there is no cookie cutter technique to learning. Cary has explored a variety of curricula and reference materials such as Aleks, Kahn Academy, Abeka, Singapore Mathematics, and Moog programs.
