Good writing does not happen overnight. Like all skills, becoming a good writer requires motivation and critical self-discipline. Developing one’s writing skills is a collaborative effort between instructor and student. John will do whatever he can to help you on your journey to becoming a better academic writer, but you must be willing to do the work. If you are willing, he assures you that your academic career will be far more rewarding and your grades will reflect that, accordingly.
John is a part-time geopolitical risk consultant. He holds degrees from Harvard and Johns Hopkins Universities in international relations and international public policy, respectively. Excellent writing is a critical function in his profession and some of his work has been published.
