Leyla lived in Perú, Chile and the U.S., where she was able to expand her knowledge on how to best teach her students, always taking under consideration their background knowledge, culture, first language, and interests. She is a recent graduate from Drake University, IA, but started studying elementary education in Chile. Studying in 2 very different countries made her be able to take the best teaching practices from both experiences and create her own teaching method. She takes a lot of pride on the way she is able to connect with students in order to make her classes enjoyable and interesting. She wants to make you want to learn and have fun doing so.
