Katy is a passionate career educator of 14 years. She has taught 3rd grade, 6th grade reading/writing, ESL/ELL students from grades 2 through adult learners, and she is currently a reading interventionist for grades K-6. She has completed multiple professional development sessions recently, including becoming Orton-Gillingham cetified for response to dyslexia, and a Remote Learning session hosted by the Teacher’s College out of Columbia Universty. She has traveled to 48 out of 50 states, Germany, Iceland, Austria, and Aruba, and she’s lived in Mexico City and New Delhi for short intercessions to teach. She loves to teach students of all ages to love learning as much as she does! She approaches life with enthusiasm and fun, and she works hard to bring that to her classroom and students.
