Conner’s wide-ranging experience in higher education allows his support to be holistic. This is beneficial for students, as it supports their goal areas that are inherently complex and dynamic. When supporting students, he is able to offer guidance and skill development within areas such as: academic skills, advising, advocacy, professional development, career exploration, transitional support, life skills, and more. Students can expect a clear approach within your sessions together. First and foremost, you will get to know one another. He will learn about the student’s background, interests, and preferences so that he can best understand and support you. Conner’s relationship with students is intended to be a partnership. This is a time where you can engage with content, explore options, or actively problem solve any given situation. This approach allows you to find individualized approaches that are sustainable for the students to use in the long-term. Collaborating in this way supports the student with their own skill development to where they will eventually no longer need his support services.
