Hello! I am Brendan, I’ve just graduated with a first in Mathematics from University of Birmingham. Alongside my studies, I started training to become a maths teacher to GCSE and A level students. I have now decide to take a year away from this, but still plan on teaching from September 2022.
I am on a competitive scheme to get exceptional maths students into teaching. From this I have gained valuable experience while teaching in schools across Birmingham. I have taught whole classes and also assisted struggling students with one on one support.
Having recently completed my A level and GCSEs, and having a strong understanding of the curriculum, I understand what it takes to get the highest grades in GCSE and A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. I am particularly good with pure mathematics, but can tutor mechanics and statistics as well.
I have experience tutoring on other platforms and believe the way tutor, by making use of an iPad and stylus, is clear and effective for all students.
What are my lessons like?Lessons are flexible and designed to meet the needs of each individual student. I will tailor lessons to the exam board and specification for the student and ensure all content is covered, so lessons are as effective and helpful as possible. I am available to teach individuals or small groups.
I remember how much hard work has to go into GCSE and A level, with my help I hope to make this an easier process.Show more
