Linnea has 12 years teaching experience as an elementary ESL teacher in Minnesota with students from about 20 different countries and many language backgrounds. In 2019 she was nominated for Minnesota Teacher of the Year. It makes her day to see students proud of reaching each goal they set out to conquer! She’s worked with students on English listening, speaking, reading, vocabulary and phonics goals, as well as language-related content goals (science, Mathematics, social studies, etc) in order to improve test-taking skills. While learning, we try to keep things fun with TPR movements, music, etc., as it helps our brain remember when we feel at ease. However, she also keeps high expectations so students grow as much as possible. That’s why her students feel proud of their accomplishments – they worked hard and earned it!
