Phillip Leyva is an alumnus of UC Berkeley. He has been teaching high school English classes in the East Bay since 2013. He earned an M.A. in Teaching from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2016. In the last couple of years, he has spent a lot of time studying and performing theatre throughout the Bay Area. He has experience with Shakespeare, musical theatre, and contemporary plays. As an OEF VIII Army veteran, he also enjoys working with other vets. He has experience navigating the GI Bill and discovering military veteran resources.
