Syed has long standing interest and expertise in teaching Mathematics courses at the levels of Bachelor’s and Master’s level.
In spite of his pedagogical experience at university level, he has formally taken a couple of courses in education/ pedagogy: ‘Introduction to International Education and Development’; ‘The Role of Education in Social Development in the Global South’; ‘Education, Culture and Sustainable Development’; and ‘Epistemology and research methods ‘.
Syed has published 15 Journal articles, while some of his papers are also published in International Conferences proceedings. During his career he handled 2 contractual research projects, as consultant. He has extensive experience of supervising researches in domain of Social Sciences and in Humanities. So far, Syed has supervised over 141 student papers/ researches.
In recognition of his serveries in academics and in research, he was recently been invited as international guest at the Peradeniya Research Symposium.
